In honor of Pollinator Week, Philly’s own Rail Park, Anna Bee's Honey, and Wood Street Pizza are hosting a honeybee party on Wednesday, June 24 at 5:30 pm at 1300 Noble Street, Philadelphia. This free event will feature urban beekeeping and pollinator education. Learn how honey bees help keep Philadelphia blooming, hear stories from the hive, and get your bee questions answered. Weather permitting, I’ll bring an observation hive. We’ll celebrate with a special recipe from Wood Street Pizza featuring Anna Bee’s Honey.
The Rail Park is one of Philadelphia’s unique spaces – a former elevated rail line transformed into an urban park. The current park is the beginning of a vision to create a three-mile greenway connecting neighborhoods along historic rail corridors. Come for the bees, stay for the pizza, and leave inspired.
